Published on September 2, 2019, Baldev Chager's consistent performance in the KCB Nanyuki Rally has solidified his position at the top of the Kenya National Rally Championships standings.
Chager, driving a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo10, clocked a time of 1 hour, 47 minutes, and 5 seconds, finishing behind KNRC defending champion Carl Flash Tundo.
Despite the second-place finish, Chager remains at the summit of the KNRC standings after Nanyuki with 123 points.
Chager expressed his satisfaction with the outcome, stating, "I'm happy to have finished second. Flash (Tundo) drove like a man possessed. The 50km stage was too technical. Our main focus now is the Championship and we are hoping to continue in the same spirit and fashion,"
Tundo's victory in the Nanyuki rally marked his first win of the season, propelling him to second place in the overall standings with 96 points.
The current standings see Chager at the top with 123 points, followed by Tundo with 96 points, and African Rally champion Manvir Baryan in third place with 91 points.
