Published on September 1, 2019, Homeboyz got their Kenyan Premier League (KPL) season off to a winning start with a 1-0 victory over AFC Leopards at the Bukhungu Stadium.
Stephen Etyang scored the winner in the 85th minute, collecting a fine cross and dribbling past defenders before curving the ball into the right corner.
Leopards had several chances to equalize, but goalkeeper David Juma made crucial saves, and strikers Brian Marita, Vincent Oburu, and Ismaila Diarra failed to capitalize on their opportunities.
