Published on September 1, 2019, Tiemoue Bakayoko's return to Monaco marks the end of a miserable two-year spell at Chelsea.
The France international midfielder secured a season-long loan deal with Monaco, who have an option to buy him permanently.
'I am very happy to return to AS Monaco, a club with which I hold, of course, fantastic memories,' Bakayoko said in a statement.
Bakayoko's time at Monaco was marked by success, as he played a crucial role in the club's Ligue 1 title win and Champions League semi-final appearance in the 2016-2017 season.
However, his move to Chelsea the following season failed to yield the same results, and he was loaned to AC Milan and later fell out with coach Gennaro Gattuso.
