On September 1, 2019, a disturbing incident unfolded in Transmara, Narok county, when a secondary school teacher was arrested for an inappropriate relationship with a student.
Nathan Kosgei, a teacher at Simotwet Secondary School, was busted at a lodging house in Transmara East after locals raised the alarm.
According to area Chief Richard Bett, curious members of the public informed him after seeing the student in one of the rooms with the teacher.
“I was informed by curious members of the public after the student was seen at a lodging house with the teacher,” said Bett.
Kosgei and the minor were arrested and taken to Emurua Dikirr Police Station after being taken to hospital for medical assessment.
