Comedian Chipukeezy has sparked a heated debate with Ebru TV after he publicly announced that he would be terminating his contract with the station following their request to fire Kartelo from his show.
According to Chipukeezy, Ebru TV had expressed concerns that the show had become too 'ghetto' due to the presence of many young musicians and comedians. However, Chipukeezy stated that his mission was to lift the youth of the country and provide them with a platform to showcase their talents.
Chipukeezy's statement, which was published on his social media platforms, read: 'Hey Guys… A quick one. So I received an email from Ebru TV asking me to terminate my agreement and Collaboration with Kartelo on my show. They say they are a bit concerned that the show has become a bit Ghetto because of the many Youths (Upcoming Musicians and Comedians) on the show.'
Chipukeezy went on to say that he would not be willing to stop supporting Kartelo and other young people in the industry, and that he would be terminating his contract with Ebru TV as well.
However, Ebru TV has since responded to Chipukeezy's allegations, stating that Kartelo was never their employee in the first place.
