Naivasha Trader on the Run After Stabbing Friend to Death

On August 30, 2019, a tragic incident occurred in Naivasha, leaving one person dead and another on the run. A prominent trader in the area stabbed and killed his friend in a dispute that occurred in KCC village on the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.

According to eyewitnesses, the two friends had been drinking together before the argument escalated into a fight. The trader escaped the scene after stabbing his friend in the stomach, leaving him to bleed profusely.

Members of the public, enraged by the incident, descended on a bar owned by the suspect and looted all the liquor before the police arrived to contain the situation.

Naivasha police boss Samuel Waweru confirmed the incident, stating that the bodies had been collected and inquest files opened.

Meanwhile, a separate incident occurred on the same day, where a teenager was hit and killed by a Nissan matatu along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway while standing on the roadside.
