On Thursday, a man's life savings were stolen in a brazen daylight robbery in Nairobi's industrial area.

Athanasius Muema had withdrawn Sh250,000 from NIC bank to purchase construction materials, but his plans were foiled by a well-orchestrated gang.

As Muema parked his car and entered a nearby shop, the thieves struck, breaking into his vehicle and making off with the cash.

CCTV footage shows a woman believed to be part of the gang following Muema, allegedly to monitor his movements as her accomplices carried out the heist.

The suspects, who claimed to be together, were reportedly allowed to pass through the gated business premise by the security guard.

The matter has been reported at the Industrial Area police station, and the incident serves as a stark reminder of the need for increased security measures in the area.
