A video posted on social media on Thursday, August 29, 2019, showed a group of kids 'protesting' in front of a school gate in South Africa.

The footage, shared on South Africa Live's Facebook page, quickly gathered over 22,000 views in just three hours.

However, a social media user, Bandile Xulu, revealed that the kids were not protesting, but rather chanting for the school staff to open the gates so they could enter and learn.

"Just when you thought you have seen it all, BOOM! Bundle of joys protesting about school," the caption read.

But Xulu explained that the kids were actually singing, asking the gate man to open the gate for them so they could enter their school.

"To all those people who are moaning about this video, you should have asked for the translation first before you make a conclusion," Xulu said.
