Just days after the IEBC received a fake list of aspirants from the Jubilee Party, the party has invited all those interested in vying for the Kibra seat to submit their names.

According to the party's Secretary-General Raphael Tuju, the selection of candidates will be done by the party's electoral board.

On Tuesday, August 27, the Amani National Congress party led by Musalia Mudavadi submitted the name of Eliud Owalo, a former aide to Raila Odinga, to contest against candidates from other parties.

On Saturday, August 31, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party cleared the names of 20 aspirants who are now vying for the seat.

The Kibra seat was left vacant after the death of Ken Okoth, a former ODM member of parliament.

Among the aspirants in the list are DJ Kriss Darlin and his late brother Imran Okoth.
