Six Suspects Linked to Police Vehicle Torching Arrested in Kirinyaga

On August 25, 2019, a police vehicle was torched in Rwambiti area, Kianyaga-Kutus road, Gichugu Constituency, after a fatal road accident involving a boda boda and the police vehicle.

According to the police, six suspects, five men and a woman, were arrested after they were flushed out of their hideouts at Rwambiti village.

Deputy OCPD Alfred Ng'eno stated, 'We have six prime suspects, five men and a woman, we will continue with the search until we arrest all the suspects.'

The police vehicle was set on fire by angry boda boda riders and area residents after two people were killed in the road accident.

One boda boda rider died on the spot, while another passenger died at Kerugoya Hospital, where a third victim is currently undergoing treatment.
