Published on August 28, 2019, a viral video has been circulating, showing Pastor James Ng'ang'a, a controversial Neno Evangelism preacher, threatening and using abusive language towards his male church members.

The video, which has not been dated, shows the televangelist saying he will sexually weaken the defiant male members of his church, rendering them impotent.

“Wanaume wale mtanichezea, nitakuwa nawafunga hiyo kakitu yako. Utakuwa unaona mke wako na macho. Nitawafunga hiyo kitu yenu, mtabaki tu na macho, ng'ombe hizi,” the televangelist says in the 30-second video clip.

According to a suit letter filed by the male congregants, Pastor Ng'ang'a allegedly used obscene, abusive, or insulting language towards them, threatening to disable their ability to engage in coitus.

The congregants, represented by Otieno and Amisi advocates, are seeking a public apology and withdrawal of the threats within two days, starting from Monday, August 26.

Failure to comply with the demands may lead to private criminal prosecution under sections 95, 96, and 97 of the Penal Code and/or civil proceedings for general damages for defamation.
