Published on August 28, 2019, the ongoing Safari Tour golf tournament at Nyali Golf Club saw professional golfer Njuguna Ngugi take the lead after the third round.
Ngugi's impressive display included a round of 5-under par 66 gross, following his previous scores of 77 and 69 gross in the first and second rounds.
"I felt great today after almost everything worked out perfectly. I am looking forward to more of the same tomorrow," said Ngugi.
Greg Snow, a professional golfer from Muthaiga, was second on the leaderboard with a round score of 3-under par 68 gross, taking his total round tally to one over par 214 gross.
The final round of the tournament will take place today (Wednesday) at 8:00 AM, with 23 professionals who made the cut from 46.
The Safari Tour is a 12-leg series organized by the Kenya Golf Limited and sponsored by Barclays Absa, with the first leg taking place in Kenya and extending to Uganda, Rwanda, and Tanzania.
The professional golfers are competing for a KSh.1 million prize fund in each leg and a chance to gain entry into the 2020 Magical Kenya Open at Karen Course from March 12-15, 2020.
