Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has suffered a hamstring injury in the team's 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on August 25, 2019.
Shaw was replaced by Ashley Young in the first half after limping out of the game.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has expressed hope that Shaw will return to the team before their next game against Southampton on September 1, 2019.
However, preliminary reports suggest that Shaw could miss games against Southampton, Leicester, West Ham, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Norwich.
This could be a significant blow to the Red Devils, as Young is the only backup player who could fill the space of Shaw in the team.
Portuguese full-back Diogo Dalot is also facing a spell on the sidelines, as he is not available until after the international break.
According to SunSport, quoting Talk Sport, a scan has revealed that Shaw's injury could keep him out for up to six matches.
Shaw's injury is a significant concern for Manchester United, as they look to bounce back from their first defeat of the new season.
