On Monday, comedian Vincent Muasya, aka Chipukeezy, announced that he had opted out of his contract to host his show on Ebru TV. The decision came after the network repeatedly asked him to remove his co-host and fellow comedian, Kartelo, from the show.

According to an Instagram post by Kartelo, Ebru TV had been working to have him removed from the platform since day one. Kartelo claimed that the station found him too 'ghetto' and that their audience was treated poorly.

Chipukeezy, who is also a director at the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA), stated that the network's concerns were rooted in their desire to shift the show's focus from young, upcoming musicians and comedians to interviews with politicians and corporate executives.

Chipukeezy expressed his passion for lifting the youth of the country and creating a platform for disadvantaged young people. He stated that he felt God had given him an opportunity to make a difference and that he would continue to host his show on a different platform.
