On August 26, 2019, a woman in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) made headlines for filing a divorce petition against her husband, citing an unusual reason - he was too kind to her.
The couple, who had been married for a year, had never had a single argument, which the woman claimed was suffocating her.
She told the Sharia court that she was tired of being in a calm relationship and longed for fights and quarrels. Her husband, on the other hand, defended himself, saying he wanted to be a good husband and didn't want to be a bother to his wife.
He added that he was willing to learn from his mistakes and be a perfect and kind husband.
The case was adjourned, and the couple was asked to settle their dispute on their own.
