Bournemouth Star Charlie Daniels Rushed to Hospital After Horrific Injury in Man City's Defeat

On August 25, 2019, Bournemouth defender Charlie Daniels suffered a horrific injury in his side's 3-1 defeat to Manchester City at the Dean Court.

According to reports, Daniels dislocated his knee while trying to launch a cross into City's box, and was replaced by Harry Wilson for the remainder of the match.

Club manager Eddie Howe admitted that the injury was a potentially serious one, but would wait for the diagnosis of the medical team to know the extent of the damage.

Howe expressed his concern for Daniels, saying, "I don't know exactly what he has done but I know it is potentially serious," and "To see a player go off on a stretcher like that in the amount of pain that he was, you fear for the worst."

Daniels, 32, had made his second full appearance for his side against the Citizens and suffered a similar injury in the previous match, which forced him to miss the rest of the 2018-19 season.

Meanwhile, Wilson's stunning goal was not enough to help his side avoid defeat in front of home fans, and currently 11th on the log with 4 points after three matches.
