Published on August 26, 2019, Pastor James Ng'ang'a, a prominent figure in Neno evangelism, has made a public apology to Linus Kaikai, a journalist at Citizen TV, over death threats he allegedly directed to the journalist in March this year.
The apology was made before Chief Magistrate Patricia Gichohi at the Kiambu Law Courts. In a humble tone, Pastor Ng'ang'a said, 'Nimemwomba msamaha Bwana Linus kama alikasirika kwa hilo. Sorry for that.'
Linus Kaikai had previously used his platform to advocate for sanity in the running of churches, recommending that lawmakers create a law to prevent individuals without a background in theology from running churches. This move was seen as a critique of Pastor Ng'ang'a's leadership style.
It is reported that Pastor Ng'ang'a felt attacked by Linus' comments and responded with a warning, advising Linus to stick to his lane or face unnamed consequences.
