Kenyan international Victor Wanyama is on the cusp of leaving Tottenham Hotspur, with Belgian outfit Club Brugge reportedly closing in on a deal to sign the midfielder.

According to reports, Wanyama is due to finalize his move to Club Brugge on Monday, August 26, after the two clubs agreed a deal worth around £13.6million.

Wanyama's future at Tottenham has been in doubt since the arrival of Tanguy Ndombele in the summer, with Mauricio Pochettino's preference for youngster Oliver Skipp also pushing the 28-year-old down the pecking order.

Despite interest from Italy and France, Tottenham did not want to let Wanyama out on loan, paving the way for Club Brugge to secure his services.

Wanyama has yet to play for Tottenham this season, only making the side's matchday squad in their Premier League opener against Aston Villa.

Club Brugge appears to have won the race for the services of the former Southampton star, with Wanyama expected to sign a four-year contract with the Belgian side.
