Published on August 26, 2019, President Uhuru Kenyatta has reiterated his commitment to ending corruption in Kenya, stating that no one will be spared in the ongoing fight against graft.
Speaking at the burial of Kenyan singer John De'Mathew in Murang'a County, Kenyatta emphasized that his loyalty is to the people of Kenya and not to any individual or group.
'We shall keep that vow because I personally have no friends other than the people of Kenya,' Kenyatta said.
He further warned that the culture of unbridled corruption will end, and he will continue pursuing those found guilty of corruption.
Uhuru also cautioned political leaders against making inflammatory remarks that may create animosity among Kenyans, urging them to be careful when making public statements.
