Kenyan Olympic Champion David Rudisha Survives Road Accident

On Sunday, August 25, 2019, Kenyan Olympic champion David Rudisha was involved in a road accident at Nyansiongo area on the Kijauri-Keroka highway in Nyamira County.

According to Keroka OCPD Walter Abondo, Rudisha, the world 800 meters record holder, was on his way to his Kilgoris home when he rammed into a bus from behind at around 2 a.m.

Fortunately, none of the bus passengers sustained any injuries, but Rudisha was taken to Keroka sub-county Hospital for treatment.

After undergoing an X-ray, which showed no fractures, Rudisha was treated and discharged from the hospital. His vehicle was towed to Keroka Police station.
