On August 24, three people who were on their way to the funeral of musician John De'Mathew died in a road accident in Gatunyu, Murang'a County.
Two of the deceased were brothers who were known to be huge fans of the late musician.
De'Mathew himself had died in a road accident on August 18 while on his way to a fundraising event for his pregnant son, Peter Kigia.
The funeral was attended by hundreds of fans, including top government officials led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
President Kenyatta praised De'Mathew as a man who loved peace.
Deputy President Ruto also paid tribute to the musician, recalling how he had supported him during the Jubilee campaign and when he was facing trial at the Hague.
