Former PM Raila Odinga's wife, Ida Odinga, marked her 69th birthday on August 24, 2019, a day that coincided with the census day in Kenya.

Ida's children, including Raila Junior and Winnie Odinga, took to social media to wish their mother a happy birthday. Raila Junior's message was short and sweet, saying, 'Whatever makes you feel happy and loved Mama, that's what I wish for you today. Happy birthday, mom.'

Winnie Odinga penned a heartfelt message to her mother, stating, 'For you...I'd trade the world. Happy birthday Mama.'

Raila Odinga, being the romantic he is, showered his wife with love and gratitude, saying, 'Thank you for being a pillar of strength and guidance for us as a family all throughout the years. May God bless you on your special day. Happy Birthday Mama.'

Ida and Raila Odinga have been blessed with four children, including two sons and two daughters, although they lost one of their children, Fidel Odinga, a few years ago.

Kenyan citizens and notable figures, including Linda Ogutu, Hon. Cecily Mbarire, Gideon Akwabi, Amosy Leison, and Meavericks, joined in wishing Ida a happy birthday and praising her leadership and strength.
