Manchester United Humiliated by Crystal Palace in Premier League Clash ¶
Manchester United's Premier League campaign took a hit on Saturday, August 24, as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.
Crystal Palace's Patrick van Aanholt scored an injury-time winner to deny Manchester United a point, while Jordan Ayew opened the scoring for the visitors in the 32nd minute.
Manchester United's Marcus Rashford missed a chance to equalize minutes into the second half after missing a penalty kick.
Crystal Palace's victory was made sweeter by their Twitter response to Manchester United's earlier tweet, which appeared to mock Chelsea. Manchester United had initially tweeted the wrong hashtag, using '#MUNCHE' instead of '#MUNCRY.'
Manchester United later replied to the tweet with a dig at Chelsea, but it was too late as Crystal Palace and Chelsea had already taken advantage of the situation to mock the Red Devils.
Crystal Palace tweeted: 'We're sure you do... #MUNCRY.'
Chelsea also joined in on the fun, tweeting: 'How'd it go?'
Manchester United will be looking to make amends in their next Premier League fixture against Southampton.
