Published on August 24, 2019, Sabina Wairimu, the first wife of the late musician John Mwangi Ng'ang'a alias John De'Mathew, has spoken out against critics who have been trying to incite her against her co-wife, Caroline Waithira.
Speaking to mourners after reading her tribute, Wairimu made it clear that she would not be swayed by those trying to cause division in their family.
She praised De'Mathew for teaching her and Waithira to respect each other, saying that their children loved each other and it was hard to tell which one belonged to which mother.
"No one will come between us," Wairimu said. "I recognize Ms Waithira as the second wife and she respects me. In fact, when the late could not get his favourite shirt, I could call her to ask whether it was in her home. Our children love each other and it is hard to know which one belongs to which mother," she added.
Wairimu also vowed to take up De'Mathew's roles and continue supporting Waithira and all her children.
She described De'Mathew as a symbol of unity in their family and a peace-loving man who was a partner, friend, and wonderful and loving man.
