Published on August 23, 2019, the Bwana Begg Murray and Connaught Cup Polo Championships is underway at Northern Polo Club in Timau, marking a significant moment in Kenya's polo calendar.

As the action unfolds in Timau, the national junior team is miles away in Lusaka, Zambia, testing Zambian horses ahead of the Lusaka International Championships scheduled for tomorrow.

The Bwana Begg Murray and Connaught Cup Polo Championships serves as a dress rehearsal for two international championships set to take place at Nairobi Polo Club next month.

Kenya Polo Association has assembled a talented lineup of seven top players alongside budding ones for the three-day event, including handicap 5 Jammie Murray, Casmir Gross (4.5), George Mc Kork (3.5), Craig Millar (3.5), Richard Stonewigg (3), Tarquin Gross (3), and Archie Voorspuy (2.5).

Among the notable teams competing in the Timau Stores Cup is the handicap 14 Prosaro team, comprising Murray, Voorspuy, and Millar, who will face off against the CBA team in a round-robin format.

The Connaught Cup is scheduled for Sunday, with two teams, Prosaro and Redigo Deter, lined up to compete.
