On Thursday, a brazen attack shook Wajir North as unidentified gunmen sprayed bullets at the vehicle of MP Ahmed Ibrahim Abdsalan, leaving him shaken but alive.
The lawmaker was traveling with census staff when the attack occurred near an abandoned mosque at Masalale. Fortunately, his security team sprang into action, rescuing him from the scene and rushing him to the hospital for treatment.
Abdsalan's vehicle was completely torched in the attack, leaving behind a trail of destruction and chaos.
