On June 2, 2019, Ulinzi Stars played Mt Kenya United at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru, a match that would later be declared null and void by the Kenyan Premier League's Independent Disciplinary and Complaints Committee (IDCC).

Published on August 22, 2019, the IDCC's decision was made after several sittings, including a complaint filed by Kakamega Homeboyz. The ruling also affected Ulinzi Stars' season, as they were initially declared the winners of the replayed match against Mt Kenya United, which they won 4-0.

However, the IDCC later awarded Ulinzi Stars a walkover, giving them three points and two goals. This decision led to a change in the season's standings, with Ulinzi Stars finishing 10th in the league, down two places.

As a result of the null and void match, Enosh Ochieng's hat-trick and 20 goals were also scrapped off, making him no longer the season's top scorer. Instead, he, along with Umaru Kasumba of Sofapaka and Allan Wanga of Kakamega Homeboyz, are now joint top scorers with 17 goals each.
