The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened a second revision period for degree, diploma, and certificate choices, running from April 2 to April 15, 2020. This initiative targets approximately 45,000 applicants who did not secure their preferred courses during the initial phase.
KUCCPS CEO John Muraguri confirmed that applicants must use their KCSE index numbers, listed on the organization’s website, to access the revision portal. Students who missed the first application window through schools are also encouraged to participate in this second opportunity.
Applicants are required to select from unfilled programs across universities and colleges, with details available on the KUCCPS platform. Those whose index numbers do not appear on the list have already been provisionally placed and are not obligated to reapply.
Application Process Details ¶
All submissions must be made through the KUCCPS Student’s Portal or the dedicated mobile app. Comprehensive guidelines, program listings, and historical cut-off points are accessible on the portal. Applicants are advised to adhere to strict deadlines, as late submissions will not be accepted.
Health and Safety Measures ¶
Given ongoing coronavirus restrictions, KUCCPS offices and Huduma Centres remain closed. However, the application system operates entirely online, enabling submissions via mobile devices, tablets, or computers. Support is available via customer care contacts between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays.
