Published on August 22, 2019, the Kenya Premier League is staring at a possibility of starting the new season without a title sponsor. Delays in sealing a deal with one of the six cooperates courted to replace SportPesa have left the league in limbo.

With nine days remaining to the first match of the 2019-2020 season, KPL officials are yet to attract a title sponsor. The league's financial woes have been a major concern, and the lack of a title sponsor has raised eyebrows.
