On August 23, 2019, Kenya's top polo players will gather at the Northern Kenya Polo Club in Timau for the highly anticipated Bwana Beg Championships. The tournament, which will run for three days, promises to be a thrilling competition among the country's best polo players.

The seven players representing Kenya in the championships have gained extensive experience through their participation in numerous international championships. They include handicap 5 Jammie Murray, Casmir Gross (4.5), George Mc Kork (3.5), Craig Millar (3.5), Richard Stonewigg (3), Tarquin Gross (3), and Archie Voorspuy (2.5).

According to George Mc Kork, the tournament director, the fixtures for the championships will be released on August 23, 2019, after they have been approved by the relevant bodies of the Kenya Polo Association. Mc Kork assured that the fixtures will be released by the end of the day, allowing players to plan ahead and know their teammates.

As the national junior team prepares to compete in the Lusaka Championships in Zambia, Tarquin Gross predicted a tough tournament ahead. The team, consisting of five players, will train on Zambian horses before the championships commence on August 24, 2019.

Following the conclusion of the Bwana Beg Championships, two international championships will take place at the Nairobi Polo Club on September 13-15 and September 20-22, 2019, respectively. The event will be a significant milestone for Kenya's polo players, providing them with opportunities to showcase their skills on the international stage.
