On August 17, 2019, the 40th edition of the annual Kecoso games came to a close in Kisii County, with the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) team emerging as champions in Scrabble and Snooker.
Despite having the smallest contingent of 37 players, KBC managed to secure two titles, with the team's performance impressing the KBC managing director, Dr. Naim Bilal.
Dr. Bilal welcomed the team back home on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, and expressed his full support for the team going into the next edition of the games, which will be held next year.
According to Dr. Bilal, despite the many challenges facing the Corporation, KBC will be represented at the coming editions, having missed participation in the 39th edition held last year.
The team's performance was all the more impressive, given that they competed in four disciplines: Snooker, Scrabble, Pool, and ladies netball.
Dr. Bilal urged the players to start early preparations for the next edition, which will be held at a venue yet to be decided by the Kecoso governing council, with Mombasa, Meru, and Narok leading the list of contenders.
