Kenya Bus Denies Claims of Driver's Involvement in Abduction of Female Passengers

On August 19, 2019, a female passenger, Miriam Wanda, accused a Kenya Bus Service driver and his conductor of abducting her and her sister on the Ngong Road.

According to Wanda, the conductor allowed four men to board the bus at the Kenyatta University 'KMTC' campus, claiming there was an operation to check seat belts. The men then began harassing the female passenger, forcing her to remove her seat belt.

However, the Kenya Bus Service management denied the allegations, stating that no employee was involved in the abduction of passengers on the Ngong Road.

The management also stated that the driver and conductor had been summoned to report the incident, but they were unable to locate Wanda to provide further details.

Wanda's account of the incident was shared on Twitter, where she claimed that the conductor had allowed the men to board the bus and that they had begun harassing the female passenger.

It is worth noting that the Kenya Bus Service has a reputation for being a reliable and safe mode of transportation in Nairobi.
