On August 20, 2019, former Makadara MP Reuben Ndolo was granted Sh200,000 cash bail by Milimani Law court magistrate Mutuku, allowing him to walk free after being arrested for allegedly threatening to kill a businessman over a parcel of land in Kileleshwa.

Ndolo was arrested alongside six other suspects, including Daniel Otieno Juma, George Otieno, Cyrus Nyamboga Gichana, Bernard Ochieng Andai, Dick Otieno Ombaka, and Hassan Dima Wario, for allegedly threatening to kill the businessman.

However, Ndolo failed to appear in court on Monday, citing health complications, and was allegedly diagnosed with high blood pressure at Nairobi West Hospital.

During his court appearance on Tuesday, Ndolo denied charges of threatening to kill and causing a disturbance.
