On August 20, 2019, Esther Akoth, popularly known as Akothe Madam Boss, made headlines with her outrageous demands for her performance at the Luo Festival Concert scheduled for August 31, 2019, at Carnivore grounds.

According to Jalang'o, Madam Boss outlined five major things she wanted to be considered before setting foot at Carnivore Grounds. These demands included flying by a private chopper from Wilson Airport to Carnivore grounds, which shares the same fence, and having her own security officers apart from the ones already assigned to the task.

She specified that she wanted 10 security officers, five men, and five women. The cost for flying Madam Boss to Carnivore grounds was approximately 200,000 shillings, which Silverstone Services offered to cover as she made a grand entrance to the show.

Other requirements included Akothe's own backstage, a changing room fixed with four full-length mirrors, 40 pure white towels, five boxes of sparkling water, a massage table, a private kitchen and chef, a variety of juices, and four private assistants.

After performing, Akothe wanted to be dropped off by a limousine and spend the night in a presidential suite. Jalang'o claimed that convincing Madam Boss to attend the concert was a challenging task due to the unrealistic demands, but confirms Akothe's attendance since their sponsors agreed to take care of everything.
