On August 20, 2019, the East Africa games witnessed thrilling matches, with Friends School Kamusinga making a strong statement in hockey.

The Kenyan team, led by coach Godfrey Muleyi, dominated their Tanzanian opponents, Juhudi, with an impressive 5-0 win at St Constantine grounds.

Geoffrey Owino scored the first goal just four minutes into the match, and Shadrack Kipkoech added another in the 21st minute, leaving Juhudi to resort to defensive play.

Chris Nyongesa and Moses Munyeti sealed the deal for Kamusinga with two quick goals in the 23rd and 29th minutes, respectively, before halftime.

Gideon Mshindi scored the final goal six minutes into the second half, as Juhudi resigned to fate.

Coach Muleyi expressed his team's determination to win the East Africa crown, having missed the national title.

"This is the only remaining title that is still within our reach. We missed the national trophy and the boys are determined not to miss this opportunity," Muleyi said.

Meanwhile, Dagoretti High School secured a 78-67 win over Seroma HC from Uganda in the boys' basketball contest, increasing their chances of reaching the last four.
