Esther Passaris, a Nairobi County representative, has spoken out against claims by Governor Mike Sonko that they have a romantic relationship.

Passaris stated that she is not interested in men who flaunt their wealth, like Sonko, and therefore cannot be his lover.

She made these comments during a meeting organized by Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati, where she emphasized that she is not attracted to men who wear expensive jewelry and designer clothes.

Passaris also claimed that Sonko is worried about her potential candidacy for the governor's seat and is trying to discredit her by making false claims about their relationship.

She stated, 'Let people stop joking, a woman is not someone to be played with. Before you take her to bed, you have to take away her handbags, her shoes, her jewelry, and her designer clothes. The kiss of love will be gone.'

Passaris also denied Sonko's claims that she had asked him for money and had even invited him to a hotel room in Nairobi.

Her comments come after Sonko made similar claims about their relationship, which Passaris has consistently denied.
