On Twitter, a conversation started with the hashtag #IdLikeToBeRichEnoughTo, where people shared their thoughts on what they would do if they were rich enough.
As of August 19, 2019, over 28,000 people had joined in, sharing their ideas on how they would spend their money.
Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton was among those who participated, tweeting that he would give away millions a year to charity, worthwhile causes, and people.
Many others shared similar charitable sentiments, with some wanting to use their money to help those in need.
Twitter user @lizard_lou, for example, said they would pay their parents back for all that they've done for them over the years, while @RoeGhost wanted to end world hunger.
Others, however, had more personal reasons for wanting to be rich, with some wanting to treat themselves to luxuries like eating in restaurants every day.
Some even joked about using their money to do absurd things, like making it rain in Target or being Batman without actually fighting crime.
