On August 19, 2019, President Kagame made remarks that the case of Coach Ck, a Kenyan, was with the Rwandan Judiciary. However, the President's statement was based on misinformation about the facts surrounding the case.

Contrary to the President's claims, there was no fraud foiled by the government. The young people who attended the event paid a small $5 fee willingly, without duress or coercion, to attend a paid event that was not illegal anywhere in the world. The event aimed to educate and equip the youth, providing them with access to a free coaching session worth $197.

Instead of benefiting from the event, Coach Ck was arrested and denied the opportunity to fulfill his obligation, which was to provide the coaching session. The prosecution's argument that the event was a 'con' and that there was no meeting planned has been proven false by the evidence of the contract, which shows that Coach Ck rented the Radisson Blue for 4 Million Rwandan Francs (USD$4,400) and extra USD $1,295 for additional meeting space.

The prosecution has also tried to deny claims of the trenches being filled with dirty sewer water, but it is evident that the trenches were cleaned up while the accusations were being investigated. However, cleaning the trenches does not change the fact that the Kenyans were treated inhumanely and denied their human basic rights, and were psychologically and physically tortured.

Coach Ck is being held in solitary confinement and is being refused visits, further adding to the injustice. The so-called 'competent and independent court of law' has failed to ensure that the rights of the Kenyans are not violated, and instead, they are attempting to justify their injustice.
