Unai Emery, the manager of Arsenal, has spoken about the upcoming match against Liverpool, expressing his hope that his team might avoid playing the Reds.

Emery's comments come as Arsenal prepares to face Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday, August 24, 2019, in a highly anticipated Premier League match.

With Arsenal maintaining a 100% record at the start of the 2019-20 season, Emery sees the match as a good challenge for his team, but also acknowledges the difficulty of playing against Liverpool.

"For us, we don't ever want to play against Liverpool – but it's really a challenge, a good test," Emery said in a recent interview.

Emery's team has been on a strong run, securing six points from their first two games, and the manager is optimistic about their chances against Liverpool.

"We are going there (to Anfield) with six points from two games. Next week is a very good match for every supporter of Arsenal," Emery said.
