US President Donald Trump's Twitter addiction has led to a series of acidic and crass tweets targeting world leaders, activists, and even his own citizens.

With over 62 million followers, Trump's late-night tweets are often unfiltered and unapologetic, leaving many to wonder if they are real or parody accounts.

From calling Hillary Clinton 'crooked' to labeling North Korea's Kim Jong Un 'Rocket Man,' Trump's Twitter monikers have become infamous.

However, his recent tweets have taken a darker turn, with Trump labeling UK Ambassador Kim Darroch 'a very stupid guy' and 'a pompous fool' after the ambassador's leaked emails referred to Trump as 'clumsy and inept.'

Trump's Twitter sparring sessions with London Mayor Sadiq Khan have also made headlines, with Trump calling Khan 'a stone-cold loser' and 'half his height.'

Even world leaders are not spared Trump's vitriol, with the President recently referring to French President Emmanuel Macron's digital tax as 'Macron's foolishness.'

Trump's Twitter critics, including Maria Konikova of Politico, have accused the President of lying, with Konikova stating that Trump's lies are 'in a different category' due to their frequency and spontaneity.

As one Twitter user aptly put it, 'Can someone please put this man to bed!'
