Family Demands Answers Over Captain Maisiba's Death in Air Crash

On March 1, 2019, Captain Marious Maisiba Magonga perished in an air crash in Turkana, leaving behind a family seeking answers about their son's body.

According to reports, Captain Maisiba was one of the most experienced pilots in Kenya and was based at Wilson airport. However, his family is yet to accord him a proper sendoff due to the many unanswered questions surrounding his death.

The family is demanding to know the nature of the business that prompted Captain Maisiba to fly at night, which was not his norm. The bones collected from the site have been taken abroad for further analysis.

Deputy President William Ruto showed his support by visiting the family of Captain Maisiba earlier in the week, describing him as an accomplished, disciplined, and reliable pilot who loved his job.

As the family waits for answers, they refuse to bury Captain Maisiba's remains until a DNA test is done.
