Reuben Ndolo, a former member of parliament for Makadara, has been arrested and charged with inciting violence in Kenya.

According to the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Ndolo and six others were arrested on August 17, 2019, in Nairobi's Bustani Gardens for allegedly inciting violence and threatening to kill.

The DCI stated that Ndolo and the others were arrested by Flying Squad officers for allegedly inciting violence and threatening to kill.

"Flying Squad arrested Reuben Ndolo, a former member of parliament for Makadara, in Bustani Gardens on Oledume Road in Nairobi for allegedly inciting violence and threatening to kill. They are being held and will be taken to court," the DCI said.

The six others arrested alongside Ndolo are Cyrus Nyamboga Gichana, George Otieno, Bernard Ochieng Andai, Otieno Ombaka, Hassan Dima Wario, and Daniel Otieno Juma.

They are being held at the Kilimani Police Station and will be taken to court on August 19, 2019.

This is not the first time Ndolo has been involved in controversy. In February 2017, he was involved in a scuffle with a former State House event organizer, Big Ted, and was accused of insulting President Uhuru Kenyatta.
