Published on August 18, 2019, South African coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojević is at the center of a sex scandal, just days after quitting his job at Orlando Pirates.
Micho abruptly left his position as Pirates coach, citing personal reasons, and returned to his native Serbia to care for his ailing mother.
However, a report by the Sunday World newspaper alleged that Micho is facing court charges for allegedly asking a 51-year-old hotel cleaner to engage in a sexual act.
Micho has denied the allegations, calling them 'baseless and unfair.'
'This is a shame. My lawyers will be dealing with this. I have been the most respectful person, soldier, and servant of the game. I don’t deserve this,' Micho was quoted by Soccer Laduma.
Despite the scandal, Micho's impressive coaching career remains intact, with notable stints at Tanzania's Young Africans, Saint Georges (Ethiopia), Al Hilal (Sudan), and the Ugandan and Rwandan national football teams.
He has already been linked with new coaching opportunities, including a potential job at Egyptian giants Zamalek and Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca.
