Scientists at Duke University in North Carolina have made a fascinating discovery about the connection between sex and spirituality.

According to their research, sex releases oxytocin, a hormone often associated with social bonding, altruism, and even divinity.

Published in the Social Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience, the study found that oxytocin levels surge during sex, childbirth, and breastfeeding.

Interestingly, the study suggests that women produce more oxytocin than men, but further research is needed to understand its effects on female spirituality.

Dr. Van Cappellen, a researcher at Duke University, notes that oxytocin's effects on women's spirituality are still unknown and require further investigation.

She adds, 'Spirituality is complex and influenced by many factors, but oxytocin does seem to affect how we perceive the world and what we believe.'

While the study's findings are intriguing, it's essential to note that more research is needed to fully understand the relationship between oxytocin and spirituality.
