On the second memorial service of Chris Msando, the family expressed their disappointment over the failure of President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga to use the 'handshake' to help them get justice over their son's murder.

Msando's family held a memorial service at their home in Ugenya, Siaya County, where they expressed their shock over the failure of his widow, Eva Buyu, and politicians to attend the event.

The family also accused Msando's widow of abandoning them, stating that she had moved on with her life and no longer responds to their phone calls.

They claimed that they had much hope that the 'handshake' would help them speed up investigations into Msando's murder, but all in vain.

The family spokesperson stated that the National Super Alliance (NASA) leadership abandoned them after Msando's death and have stopped their course on the matter as well.

“Every time we go to DCI they show us files of other homicide cases, claiming ours happened just the other day and we should wait,” said the family spokesperson.

Msando's mother, Mary Aloo, blamed President Kenyatta and Raila for failing to get her son's killers even after coming to terms to work together early last year.

She claimed that the leaders are happy seeing her suffering about her son's fate and are not ready to help.

Msando's family is calling upon the leaders to find the killers and ask them why they had to take away Chris' life.
