Kenyan striker Michael Olunga has continued his impressive form in the Japanese J2 League, scoring the winning goal for Kashiwa Reysol in their match against V-Varen Nagasaki on August 17, 2019.

With his side trailing 1-1 at halftime, Olunga rose high to head the ball into the net, securing a 2-1 victory for Reysol and maintaining their position at the top of the table with 58 points.

Reysol took an early lead through Matheus Savio, but V-Varen Nagasaki equalized in the second half through Hiroto Goya's penalty. However, Olunga's goal proved to be the decisive one, as Reysol held on to claim maximum points away from home.

With this win, Reysol opened a seven-point gap at the top of the table, while Kyoto Sanga remain second with 51 points.

Olunga's strike took his tally to 12 goals, just five short of Lee Yong-Jae, who leads the top-scorers chart in the league.

Reysol will look to maintain their lead when they face bottom-placed Gifu in their next match.
