A video of a Kenyan-born woman, Peggy, narrating her struggles in the streets of the United Kingdom has gone viral online.

According to the video posted on the Kenyans in the UK Facebook page, Peggy revealed that she had traveled to the UK for further studies but ended up on the streets.

She explained that her mother, an international businesswoman, had advised her against going to the UK but she ignored her advice.

"I have a daughter, Peggy Junior, who is 11 years old. My mum works as a businesswoman and we were all educated internationally," Peggy said in the video.

She added that she had undertaken a Master's degree in International Marketing in the UK but left after completing the course.

However, Peggy's efforts to get help have been unsuccessful, and she has lost custody of her daughter.

"I have searched for help several times, but most offices state that they couldn't help me because I wasn't mentally challenged, nor physically disabled, nor did I have a criminal record," Peggy said, visibly emotional.

She recounted her experiences of physical and sexual assault while living on the streets, including a traumatic incident where she was bound and injected with drugs.

"That night I also lost custody of my daughter. My mum is a decent human being, so it is not right for us girls to be tortured because we have no men to help us," Peggy pleaded.

She ended her plea by asking for her daughter's return and a chance to go back home.
