Kenya's national wrestling team is gearing up for the All African Games in Morocco, departing the country next week on Thursday.

The team of 10 wrestlers, including John Omondi, Kennedy Koech, and Africa bronze medalist Mathayo Maabila, has undergone rigorous training in Nairobi and is ready to take on the continental event.

Maabila, who has already qualified for the World Championships in Kazakhstan next month, will be joined by Alvisa Winrose, Fridah Karimi, Sofia Ayeti, and Faith Ngogo in the competition.

Team manager Eric Walucho expressed confidence in the team's preparedness, citing their previous success in the 2015 All Africa Games, where they bagged two bronze medals in Brazzaville, Congo.

The team is part of the last group of Team Kenya to depart for Rabat, with the Boxing and beach Volleyball teams already having left for Morocco.
