On August 16, 2019, Tanzanian singer Harmonize's arrival at the funeral of late Mafik singer Mbalamwezi sent shockwaves, prompting a sudden departure from the event by Rockstar Africa boss Alikiba.
According to a viral video, Alikiba, who was attending the funeral alongside other artistes, stood up and left as soon as Harmonize arrived. He was followed by rapper Fid Q and other artistes.
Harmonize's arrival was accompanied by his Konde gang team and bodyguards, who were seen stopping people from reaching him. Despite this, Harmonize went on to greet people present at the service.
This incident is not the first time the two have caused a stir at a funeral, with a similar incident occurring at socialite Masogange's funeral.
Harmonize had previously stated that he could not shake hands with Alikiba because he disrespected his WCB boss. Mbalamwezi's death on Thursday night remains a mystery, with reports indicating that his lifeless body was found naked beside a road in Dar es Salaam.
