Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi Mocks Ngunjiri Wambugu for Causing Chaos at Women Leaders' Meeting ¶
On August 16, 2019, a meeting of women leaders from the Inua Mama movement was disrupted by a group of youths in Nyeri Town, Kenya.
According to reports, the youths were sent by Ngunjiri Wambugu, a local politician who had been attending the meeting, to cause chaos and disrupt the proceedings.
Oscar Sudi, the MP for Kapseret, has since mocked Wambugu for his actions, calling him out for showing 'causing chaos' at the meeting.
"Jinsi nilivyosema awali, Ngunjiri ana tabia za kike. Aliniudhi awali na nikamuarifu wabunge wa kike wana haki ya kumjibu. Amewaaibisha sana watu wa Nyeri Town. Oneni sasa," Sudi said in a statement.
The incident has sparked a heated debate in the community, with some calling for Wambugu to be held accountable for his actions.
Wambugu has since defended his actions, saying that he was simply trying to protect the community from the Inua Mama movement, which he claims is promoting 'siasa za 2022' (elections) in the area.
"Naomba msamaha ila siasa za 2022 katika eneo bunge la Nyeri Town hazikubaliki kwa sasa," Wambugu said in a statement.
